Dècor
Antique Furniture
Mostly French. Jenny selects pieces she loves, where she can see beauty and potential, statement pieces, special pieces that tell a story through the patina of the surface with years of history ingrained. Pieces from a time when life was much more simple.
One of the hot looks in France is the recycling of industrial metal furniture and lighting in the home. We have 1930's French metal swivel top stools and enamel industrial lighting and old shop display pieces perfect for creating your own industrial salvage look.
Storage
Jenny has a great love of interesting old pieces that can be reused for storing your collections. As a collector herself, Jenny is always looking for more storage to display her precious things, so you will always find a range of old wicker baskets, interesting boxes in timber and metal and reclaimed factory or shop fittings and hardware that can be really functional as well as decorative.
Chandeliers
Chandeliers are the style of the moment and vintage models look fabulous as a statement piece in a room. They also work well incorporated into a more modern interior. Chandeliers stocked are mostly French or European pieces dating from early 1900's to around 1960's, featuring stunning crystals and, becoming popular again, metal and brass detailing.
Homewares & Collectables
Jenny loves collecting things on her travels. Her philosphy is that the treasures you find along the way remind you of your adventures and have a story to tell - no matter how cheap and cheerful, they bring back memories of special times and are part of your personal journey.
A few of Jenny's favourites in store at the moment are French 1920's timber printing blocks, a set of early 1900's wooden painted sailor doll skittles from France, an extremely rare wire dressmakers model made for Jardin Des Modes in Paris, circa 1960, that Jenny waited three years to find and bring back. 1950's French dinnerware with a beautiful old rose pattern in muted shades of pink and grey is also a favourite.
Always popular are a range of old perfume bottles and apothecary jars with gorgeous old original labels. These are imported directly from a glass manufacturer in Normandy and are available in a range of sizes and shapes that look great displayed in a bathroom or bedroom. They make great gifts and a new shipment will be arriving before Christmas, including some new and different labels not seen before.
Mercerie
Reflecting Jenny's greatest passion, a whole room in the store is devoted to vintage sewing - a treasure trove for art and craft lovers and doers.
Vintage Fabrics, Laces, Ribbons & Trims
The back room is a treasure trove full of interesting bits and pieces not seen much of any more. Fabrics from the 1920's - to now, with a focus on the 1950's and 60's. You'll also find beautiful old cottons, linens and silks for clothing and craft and a good range of furnishing pieces as well as new and vintage french striped tickings.
Treasures include sewing patterns from the 1920's to the 80's including some vintage French designs, a selection of vintage and new trims and some early 1900's laces and art deco trims from France. A great range of gorgeous bits 'n pieces that look fabulous reused on garments or furnishings to give them a new lease of life whilst creating a completely unique item that you've had the pleasure of making yourself.
Buttons
A very large range of vintage buttons, some in commercial quantities, ranging from early 1900's to 60's/70's. Including celluloid, bakelite, crystal and glass, casein, hand painted and wooden all in such beautiful tones and textures so different to the buttons made today.
There is something very special about old buttons - just imagine if they could talk - the stories they could tell! Who they have adorned and where they've been.
Vintage Fashion, Jewellery & Accessories
Vintage Fashion
Throughout the store you'll see a great range of vintage and pre-loved clothes, some from as early as the 1940's and 50's, right through to now. The store focus is on pre-loved designs in good condition from well known and designer labels.
A gorgeous selection of vintage furs is available all year round, including stunning full length coats and jackets in a range of furs and colours such as mink, silver fox and stunning animal prints and feathering in multi colours.
